TDC Banana Bread

Note: Cooking instructions are same, however, measurements are different for TDC Vanilla, Pro, and Chocolate. Please select your measurements according to the mix you are using. The recipe is structured as follows:

Supergrain Vanilla

1 Cup TDC Pancake Mix Vanilla

2 Big Bananas (~200g peeled)

1 tbsp Yogurt 

1/2 Cup Melted Butter

1/4 Cup Sugar (optional)

Optional: 1/4 Cup walnuts or chocolate chips

1 Cup TDC Pancake Mix Pro

2 Big Bananas (~200g peeled)

1 tbsp Yogurt 

1/2 Cup Butter

1/4 Cup Sugar (optional)

Optional: 1/4 Cup Walnuts or Chocolate Chips

Supergrain Chocolate

1 Cup TDC Pancake Mix Chocolate

2 Big Bananas (~200g peeled)

1 tbsp Yogurt 

1/2 Cup Butter

1/4 Cup Sugar (optional)

Optional: 1/4 Cup Walnuts or Chocolate Chips

* 1 cup = ~240 ml, 1 Tbsp =~15ml

2. Cooking Instructions

Step 1:

Preheat oven to 365 degree F. In a bowl whisk together banana (and sugar for more sweetness) to form a smooth puree

Step 2:

Add The Dancing Chef Mix and melted butter to the puree and combine well. Fold in nuts / chocolate chips.

Step 3:

Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or till you smell the baking aroma or a skewer comes out dry from the bread or 1-2 minutes after you get the baking smell of the banana bread

3. Serving Suggestions

Kids like our TDC banana bread as it is for a 4 pm or school snack. However, sometimes a dust of powdered sugar or chocolate spread with walnuts, cashews and raisins also taste great and makes for a yummy school snack.

4. Substitutions and Additions
  • Butter substitute: you can use oil or ghee instead of butter, same quantity.

  • Dairy substitute: butter with oil in same proportions.

  • Additions:  If you prefer more sweetness then adjust sugar in the batter in Step 1.

Can I make the banana bread with eggs?

Yes. Use 2 bananas, 70 ml oil, 40 g sugar, 2 eggs, 30 ml milk and 1 cup TDC mix. Bake at 365 F for 40 minutes.

How to adjust batter consistency?

If you think the batter is too dry then add some milk. If the batter is too runny add some Dancing Chef Mix.

How long can I store the banana bread?

We do not use any preservatives so the banana bread can stay well for a day or two in fridge. To reheat, microwave for 15 seconds on regular settings.
